Queer Lab + Arno Verbruggen + Andras_2020 + Blanco Teta

PRIDE EVENT

AQAF and De Studio join forces to bring you an exciting evening of live performances.
They have made De Studio their home for the past 10 days and are ready to show you the result of their work: come meet our queer lab artists!
“Art is where my heart is. I position Art at the level of God and Art is the way to freedom and freedom is our holy work.” says performer Arno Verbruggen. They created ‘Sodom’, a performance piece relating to the story of Sodom and Gomorrah.
Andras_2020 is a nonbinary music producer, contemporary dancer and vocalist from
Brazil, based in Germany. Their work stands between music making and
dance performance and focuses on the live experience as its main motor. As a musician,
the artist usually draws inspiration from their experience as a migrant and queer person,
mixing influences from their Brazil and avant-garde sonority as a way of questioning
identity and belonging. As a dancer/choreographer, Andras has been interested on the
queer body in movement as a powerhouse and as a way of putting into discussion
performative hierarchies.
Blanco teta is an experimental punkrock project, with the aggressiveness and simplicity of punk but with a great twist: a relentless distorted noise soundscape, edgy performances, transfeminist and queer concept with an avant-garde approach. Based in Buenos Aires, Argentina, born in 2017 with the need to find a unique sound with an atypical formation, given by the presence of the processed cello.
Going to a Blanco Teta show is an immersive experience with high levels of relentless energy and madness. Blanco Teta represents a great movement that articulates with other transfeminist experimental collectives from the upcoming and uprising queer latinx scene. They have played in numerous popular venues in the Buenos Aires experimental scene. They had their first tour abroad in 2019 in Uruguay. In 2020 they had a confirmed tour in Colombia and Europe but was cancelled due to the current pandemic. They are now working on “ROMPEPAGA” their third album.
